This morning over a dozen volunteers came together, to share in fellowship this Thanksgiving Day. Afterwards we went out into the woods near Mile Marker 15 on Highway 192 here in Kissimmee to feed every homeless veteran that lives out in the woods. Our benefits counselors sat and discussed veteran’s benefits with each veteran to begin working on their benefits to get each person off the streets over this coming year. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone that assisted us with this year’s feeding. This includes the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA), Massage Works Day Spa, Goodwin Realty & Associates, Mrs. Linda Miller with Florida Bank of Commerce, Fresh Markets and Mr. Norman from Kisselback Ford for all of their assistance with the food for this event. Since we began this program 4 years ago, we have been able to assist over 450 veterans to get off the streets of Central Florida by helping to secure each veteran’s benefits which have helped them long-term!
